The Dederang Picnic Race Club was established in 1865 and holds its annual meeting on the first Saturday in January. The Dederang Cup attracts spectators from near and far, raising thousands of dollars for charity and the local community.

Dederang is situated in the picturesque Kiewa Valley in North Eastern Victoria. Through the efforts of local volunteers, the Dederang Cup has become one of the premier picnic race meetings in Victoria, attracting huge crowds every year.
